Miner Netters Sweep The Skyhawks

The Lady Miners had another great outing. They had to come from behind in two of the three games but they pulled it off in the end. Mandy Bauer, the starting Senior Setter, went down with a twisted ankle during the first match and was replaced by Sophomore Setter, Lisa Tschosik. Lisa did a great job filling in and really came through for the Miners. The third and final match was competed “in style” with an ace from Wilton Senior, Kaeley Schatz.

Miner Girls Open Volleyball Season With A Win!

The Wilton-Wing Miner girls opened the 2010 volleyball season with a hard-fought win over the 2009 District Champion Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky Trojans. Although, at the time, they were just a Turtle Lake-Mercer co-op. It was a very exciting night of volleyball with all three Miner teams winning and the varsity fighting hard to take the fifth match of their game.

Miners Stumble To Begin Final Season

It was a tough loss for the opening game of the final season of Wilton-Wing Miner football.  Despite a great first quarter the Miners fell to rival Shiloh Christian to begin the 2010-11 season.
